DIY Credit Repair Kit — attorney-grade tools, your hand on the wheel.

For members who want to learn the system instead of hand it off. The same dispute templates, Metro 2 cheat sheets, and bureau workflows our team uses — unlocked, editable, mailable, trackable.

Overview of the DIY Kit

The DIY Kit is part of the Credit1Solutions members portal — the toolkit included with every Comprehensive ($49.95/mo) and Fast Trac ($99.95/mo) plan. The portal is built around the work our attorney network and credit-education team do every day: investigate furnisher data, dispute inaccurate items, monitor the score that mortgage underwriters actually pull, and document the round-by-round evidence record that supports an FCRA or FDCPA claim if one is warranted.

Members do not have to use every tool. Most clients spend their first 30 days inside the Dispute Tracker and the Budget Planner. The DIY Kit and the Credit Education Library are there when you want to learn the system or take a round to mail yourself. The free TransUnion FICO 4 mortgage score refreshes monthly whether you log in or not.

What you get with the DIY Kit

  • 150+ dispute letter templates
  • Metro 2 reporting code reference
  • All 3 bureau mailing addresses
  • Built-in dispute-result logging

Features included

  • 150+ dispute letter templates. Round 1 through Round 8, FCRA §1681 letters, FDCPA §1692 demands, goodwill requests, validation demands, settlement offers, ID-theft affidavits — all editable inline.
  • Metro 2 reporting code reference. The Consumer Data Industry Association reporting format that every furnisher must follow. Cheat sheet shows which codes commonly get misreported and which dispute language flips them.
  • Bureau mailing address center. Current TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax dispute addresses, plus the LexisNexis, ChexSystems, NCTUE, and Innovis specialty bureaus when an account routes outside the Big 3.
  • Send-and-log workflow. Pick a template, customize the merge fields, mark it sent, and log the result when the bureau responds. Every action ties back to the Dispute Tracker.
  • How-to-mail guide. Certified mail with return receipt is the only way to start an FCRA clock. The kit walks you through the post-office step so the letter actually counts.

How it works inside the portal

Every member action ties back to a single client record. When you mail a dispute letter from the DIY Kit, the send-and-log workflow writes back to the Dispute Tracker so the round shows up on the milestone calendar. When the bureau response posts, the score-change overlay ties the score movement back to the specific dispute that earned it. When a violation pattern triggers (re-aging, time-barred reporting, dispute-not-investigated, mixed file), the case routes to the attorney network for review at no extra cost.

Everything in the portal is included in both plan tiers. The Fast Trac plan upgrade adds priority dispute drafting and a direct attorney consult on every round, but the toolkit itself is identical. There is no per-letter charge, no cancellation fee, and no contract beyond the current month.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to mail the letters myself?

Comprehensive members can either mail their own letters with the kit or hand the round off to our team. Fast Trac members get every round drafted, mailed, and logged for them by default.

Is the DIY kit really attorney-grade?

The template library is built on the same FCRA and FDCPA cite structure our attorney network uses to file actual claims. The kit also includes the methodology disclaimer language that keeps your letters compliant under the Credit Repair Organizations Act.

What if I make a mistake?

Every send-and-log entry is reviewable. If you flag a letter for help, our team can take it over for the next round at no extra cost.
